Everyone has heard of the xbox live bannings for flashing your console and/or piracy. Some how people got the notion that 1 million people have been banned, Maybe they got it from here, whatever the reason that got them started on that is beside the point, and the point is that there isn’t 1 million people banned. The proof being that Marc Whitten, aka the general manager of Xbox Live, spoke with the people of VentureBeat recently, and he said this:
We didn’t release the number. I cannot explain to you why people would think it was a million people. It wasn’t a million people. Check the veracity of that claim. It was one news source. I think we do a really good job understanding what people are doing on the system. That applies to intellectual property (piracy) and how we treat the community in terms of harassment. We are committed to making it better and better.
He spoke with them more but this is a general quote of proof. Microsoft has not released the number of bans, and I doubt they will but if they do I will post it here for you guys to read. So for all the gaming news that you want to hear is right here on djfang.net and I will dish the news out as soon as I get it.
